Leaked porn images of judge hearing Imran Khan’s Iddat case

The iVerify Pakistan team has reviewed this content and determined that it is false.

To reach this conclusion, the iVerify Pakistan team investigated the leaked pictures to determine if they actually featured Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADSJ) Mohammad Afzal Majoka, who is hearing the Iddat case.

Multiple posts circulating on social media platform X since June 20, 2024, claimed that a scandalous video of the judge hearing PTI founder Imran Khan’s Iddat case was leaked and alleged screenshots from it were shared as well. However, the images are not of ADSJ Majoka.

On February 3, an Islamabad court sentenced Imran and his wife, Bushra Bibi, to seven years in jail each for marrying during the Iddat period. Both appealed the decision, and Judge Shahrukh Arjumand reserved his verdict on May 23. However, the ruling was deferred on May 29 after the judge requested the case be transferred due to a conflict of interest with the complainant.

The PTI subsequently alleged that the judge was threatened and pressured not to announce his reserved verdict. The case was then transferred to ADSJ Majoka’s session court. On June 22, the judge instructed the petitioner’s lawyer to conclude his arguments by June 25.

HOW IT STARTED

On June 20, 2024, a post was shared by a user on X, who appeared to be a PTI supporter based on her past posts, claiming, “The porn video of the judge hearing the Iddat case against Imran Khan has surfaced in public. This is the situation of our judges.”

The user did not share the video, saying it was “too embarrassing”.

The post was seen by more than 39,000 users.

The same claim, along with alleged screenshots from the video, was shared by a fan page for journalist Kashif Abbasi.

The post was seen by more than 27,000 users.

The same pictures with similar captions were also shared by other X users here and here.

METHODOLOGY

A fact check was initiated to determine the veracity of the claim due to its virality and in the public interest as it concerned the judge who is currently hearing Imran’s Iddat case in which there is keen audience interest.

To investigate the claim, a search for the judge’s picture to determine his physical appearance was conducted to corroborate it with the person in the leaked images.

The search yielded a video of the judge uploaded to YouTube on October 21, 2019, from his tenure as the Gujranwala ADSJ.

Comparing the judge with the person in the leaked images clearly shows they are different individuals with the former having black hair and a moustache while the latter has white.

Dawn.com reporter Umer Burney, who covers court reporting in Islamabad, also verified that the person in the leaked images was not the same as ADSJ Majoka, saying that the latter still had black hair.

A similar fact check was previously conducted on the judge who was hearing the Iddat case at the time with claims that he was featured in a dancing video. The claims were false.

The claim regarding scandalous images from a leaked porn video of ADSJ Majoka, who is hearing the Iddat case, is false.

The viral pictures do not show the judge but an unidentified person who presents different physical features than ADSJ Majoka.
