Claim

Viral video of Indian talk show discussing image of Indian flag burnt in Iran
  parliament

Rating Justification

The iVerify Pakistan team reviewed this content and determined that it is
  false.

To reach this conclusion, iVerify Pakistan attempted to corroborate the viral
image and traced the original video.

Posts from users on multiple social media platforms on June 23, 2025, shared
a clip from an Indian talk show that showed an image of the Indian flag being
burned in the Iranian parliament amid the conflict with Israel. However, the
video and image were both doctored.

Israel launched wide-scale air strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities,
military sites and private residences, killing top commanders, scientists and
hundreds others on June 13. Both countries traded wave after wave of
devastating strikes and missile volleys since then. A ceasefire was reached on
  June 24.

HOW IT STARTED

On June 23, a Pakistani account shared a 43-second clip from an Indian talk show where the panelist showed
an image of an Indian flag being burned in the Iranian parliament.

The caption on the video and the post read, “Indian flags were set on fire in
  the Iranian parliament.”

The post received over 241,000 views and 2,500 reshares.

The same clip was shared by several other X users, as seen here, here, here and here collectively accumulating
  27,000 views.

Similarly, the clip was found on Facebook too as can be seen here, here, here, here, and here.

The same clip was found on TikTok also.

METHODOLOGY

A fact-check was initiated to determine the veracity of the claim due to its
virality and keen public interest in the Iran-Israel conflict.

A keyword search to corroborate the alleged development yielded no news
reports from credible and reputable Indian, Iranian or international media
  outlets covering the incident.

Analysing the viral image using AI-detection tools showed that Sight
Engine and Hive Moderation indicated that the photo was 99 per
cent AI-generated, while Undetectable.ai assessed the image as
  “likely created by AI”.

A reverse image search to trace the anchor and show yielded a March 30, 2025,
  YouTube <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mngpL07NBIU"

ABP News, showing that the anchor is Sandeep Chaudhary who hosts the
  talk show programme ‘Seedha Sawal’.

rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">original video from which the
  viral clip was taken.

The other panelist in the viral clip is Indian Major General (retired)
Bishamber Dayal with whom the anchor begins speaking at the 20:07-minute mark.

Notably, his segment does not feature the image of the burning Indian flag as
in the viral clip and nor does it feature the question asked at the beginning
of the clip about the burning of the flag by the anchor, who is not shown
speaking in the viral clip, with only a voiceover played.

The claim that a viral video of an Indian programme shows an image of Iranian
lawmakers burning the Indian flag in parliament is false.

Both the video and the image have been doctored; the show did not air or
