Viral video shows DGC being assaulted in Thailand by trans women

To reach this conclusion, the iVerify Pakistan team conducted a reverse image search to trace the original source.

Multiple people, including Indian propaganda accounts on social media platforms X and Facebook, have been sharing a video since May 30, 2026, claiming it shows Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General (Counterintelligence) Major Gen Faisal Naseer, being assaulted by a group of trans women in Thailand. However, the video is old, from January 2026, and shows an Indian national being thrashed in Pattaya, Thailand.

HOW IT STARTED

On May 30, an X account that appears to be anti-state, based on past posts, shared a video, allegedly showing a Pakistani Army officer being assaulted by a group of trans women in Thailand.

The caption reads: “A Pakistani Army colonel was brutally beaten by Thai ladyboys during his family trip after attempting to arrange a meeting with an underage girl from the local neighbourhood.”

The post gained 42,900 views.

Similarly, on May 31, an Indian propaganda account based on its past posts shared the same video on X, with the caption: “Reportedly, Pakistan Army Major General Mohammad Faisal Naseer was beaten by Thai ladyboys in Thailand for not paying the promised amount.”

The post gained 1.4 million views.

Another pro-Indian account based on its past posts shared the same video with the following caption: “Pakistani Army’s Major General Faisal Naseer (Dirty Harry), DG ISI (CI) has been brutally thrashed by Thai ladyboys in Phuket after some heated argument ”

The post gained 575,800 views.

Simultaneously, another Indian propaganda account that usually shares anti-Pakistan content on X shared the same video on May 31, with the following caption: “Reportedly, Pakistan Army Major General Mohammad Faisal Naseer was beaten by Thai ladyboys in Thailand for not paying the promised amount. Earlier, his video went viral with his minor cousin sister in 2025.”

The post gained 140,000 views

Several other users, most of them appearing to be Indian, also shared the same video with similar captions, as can be seen here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here; collectively accumulating 210,000 views.

METHODOLOGY

A fact-check was initiated to determine the veracity of the claim due to its high virality and keen public interest.

A Google reverse image search, conducted to trace the source of the footage, yielded the video shared on Jan 3, 2026, by an Indian user on X with the following caption: “An Indian thrashed in Thailand. A 52-year-old Indian man, Raj Jasuja, who refused to pay for ‘services’, was beaten by a group of trans women in Thailand. As per reports, he has been hospitalised at Pattaya Memorial Hospital for treatment.”

A keyword search conducted to further corroborate the claim yielded a January 4, 2026, news report by Hindustan Times, featuring the same visuals. The article was titled: “On camera, Indian man thrashed by trans women in Thailand after refusing to pay for ‘service’”.

According to the news article, a 52-year-old Indian national identified as Raj Jasuja was beaten by a group of trans women in Thailand’s Pattaya after he declined to pay the amount sought for sexual services and attempted to leave the spot in a car.

Rescue workers found Jasuja with injuries to his face and the back of his head. He was administered first aid at the scene and later shifted to Pattamakun Hospital for further treatment.

Reports published in January 2026 by several other mainstream Indian media outlets, including The Times of India, The Indian Express, and India Today,  also documented the same incident with similar visuals and context.

FACT-CHECK STATUS: FALSE

The claim that a viral clip shows Pakistan Army Major General Faisal Naseer being assaulted in Thailand by trans women is false.

The video is from January 2026 and shows an Indian national being thrashed by Thai trans women on an alleged dispute over an escort service payment.
